About us

This website is dedicated to the rights and needs of refugee girls and young women. It brings together details of support groups, advice and counseling services, publications, campaigns and position statements from across Germany. Our database is designed to help refugee women and girls, and those supporting them – professionally, as volunteers, friends, family or allies – to quickly locate relevant services, organizations and initiatives. You can help expand the database by suggesting new entries (via this form).

While our focus is on refugee girls and young women, this website is designed to help anyone forced to leave their country for gender-related reasons – as well as to nurture cooperation and help build alliances.

The website was created as part of the Netzwerk geflüchtete Mädchen und junge Frauen (Network for Refugee Girls and Young Women), a project of the BumF e.V. (Association for Work with Unaccompanied Child Refugees).

The Network promotes collaboration and exchange among all those working for the rights and protection of refugee girls and young women in Germany – in the context of advice centers, self-advocacy groups, academia, youth work, and much more. In support of this goal, we organize a range of on- and off-line opportunities for connection, knowledge-sharing and to boost competence in a range of areas. We also strive to center the knowledge and lived experiences of refugee girls and young women in professional and public debates.
