Frauen lernen gemeinsam e.V. mit Migrantinnentreff Gülistan und Interkultureller Mädchentreff Azade (Women Learn Together: Gülistan Migrant Women’s Meeting Point + Inter-cultural Girls Meeting Point)

Women Learn Together Bonn is a migrant women’s self-help organization and a member of the Parity Welfare Association. The association runs two groups: the Azade Intercultural Girls’ Meeting Point and the Gülistan Meeting Point.

We take the interests, skills and experience of our participants as the starting point for all our work. As a self-help organization, we don’t act for migrant women, but as migrant women and with migrant women. We work to recognize, empower and assert migrant women’s potential, encouraging them to work together and engage socially. We make a point of involving migrant women as actively as possible in the planning and design of our activities. The diverse experiences and perspectives of migrant women inform a nuanced view of their individual needs and capacities. They are encouraged to act together and participate socially.
