Mission statement: NURA.Leipzig e.V. is committed to reproductive justice, equal access to healthcare, and the rights of refugee and migrant women*. As a feminist association, our team consists of doctors, lawyers, social workers, language mediators and other experts who work in an interdisciplinary and transcultural way.Our commitment is aimed at anyone who identifies as a woman*, or is viewed by others as a woman, including FLINTA, with a refugee or migrant background.

We have a particular focus is on people in initial reception facilities and shared accommodation, as they face considerable barriers to accessing healthcare and exercising their rights. Through targeted projects and services, we are committed to breaking down these barriers and strengthening the autonomy of those affected.

Our approach is sensitive to discrimination and critical of power, oriented towards human rights, and based on international legal principles such as the Women’s Rights Convention, the Istanbul Convention, and the Protection against Violence Act.
