SABA – Educational scholarships
The SABA educational scholarship supports women with migration or refugee experience through empowering settings and financial resources to catch up on their school-leaving qualifications so they can develop their career prospects and look to a self-determined future.
The support includes school and travel costs as well as a budget for tutoring, materials and childcare. Advice, coaching and workshops are an important part of the program and are used to guide participants through the scholarship.
SABA is different from other educational programs:
- Networking: The SABA community of scholarship holders and helpful stakeholders continues to offer exchange ideas and mutual support after graduation.
- Goal-oriented: The scholarship can be extended for up to three years to achieve the desired school-leaving qualification.
- Personal: 1:1 advice is individually tailored to the participant.
- Creative: Various SABA creative projects with artists take place every year.
