Women’s Information Center Stuttgart
The Women’s Information Center (FiZ) is a specialist advice center for women in crisis situations. We are also one of the specialist counseling centers commissioned by the state of Baden-Württemberg for victims of human trafficking. We work with an interdisciplinary and international team qualified in social work and related professions.
We advise:
- Migrant women in stressful life circumstances, e.g. separation and divorce, domestic violence, residence law issues, etc.
- Migrants in exploitative working conditions, e.g. in the catering, domestic care and cleaning sectors. We also advise people affected by human trafficking for labor exploitation. This service is also aimed at men.
- Refugee women with gender-specific reasons for fleeing, e.g. human trafficking, genital mutilation/circumcision (FGM/C), sexual orientation, forced marriage.
- Persons affected by human trafficking, in particular for sexual exploitation, forced prostitution and labor exploitation.
- Victim witnesses in criminal proceedings
Our advice is aimed at women, trans, non-binary, inter and agender people. Some services are also aimed at men. Minors can also contact us if they are affected.
We offer:
- Psychosocial advice and support
- Case management
- Group services
- Peer-to-peer support
- Psychosocial trial support/support during criminal proceedings
- Training, public awareness and sensitization work
Our advice is free of charge, available in various languages, confidential – anonymously if necessary – at eye level, partisan, client-oriented, culturally, gender and trauma-sensitive, critical of racism, resource-oriented and empowering.
